Heres some more pics from Dani's visit.

Freckles wasn't patient enough for the timer.

We just thought that thing looked cool. No knowledge was taken away from this exhibit.

Dani at the Capitol. She likes to brag that Austin's is 6 inches taller than DC's.

We drove to Baltimore on a whim and were rewarded with a 4-D film... and these awesome shades!

Here's a picture of when Dani came to visit. This was taken after 3 days of intense sight-seeing, which is why we look so bad. I'll post more pictures at another time... this is all I can get away with at work for now.

P.S. I'm considering moving to Idaho to go to school full-time. What does everyone think?

Father's Day

Just thought we'd include a couple of recent photos from Father's Day.  This past weekend Spencer let Mary and I go to bed early and he rented Star Wars, A New Hope and picked up a pizza.  They had a straight fun boys night, and he even got them in bed before ten.  What a guy!

So it sounds like it is time to start thinking about a little brother for Erica. Before you know it she will be at pre-school and you will be home alone with Kayla - not nearly as exciting.

Hi Nat. Having a cat qualifies you to start a blog. Sorry I haven't gotten on it before now. I am not much of one for blogs. I can hardly keep up with my e-mail. Life was suppose to slow down when I retired but it has done just the opposite.

I went to a little brewery (yes brewery) across the street for dinner last night since your mother was in Ogden lecturing with Don. As I watched the tired waitress rush about I was reminded of you and what a good waitress you were (are) and how nice it would have been to have you serving my table and working right across the street from where we reside for now.

I am not encouraging you back into the waitressing business but it was a nice reminder of you.

I have just crossed off another item on my "bucket list," scuba diving on the Great Barrier Reef. Check it out. BTW we struck water yesterday at 360 feet producing 15 gal. / minute - that is good.

Phillips Ranch Update

Today we drilled for water on the property (they are still drilling, and we’re down 150’ deep) and we dug and put in a line for the electrical to the house (300’ long underground from nearest pole). It’s been good to see some action on the hill. Mom.

Banana Brush Update

Below are two updates I received from Mom via e-mail regarding her latest ventures with the Baby Banana Brush. She asked me to post this on the Family Blog for everyone to see. Enjoy!

Official launch of Live-Right’s new Baby Banana Brush® took place last weekend at the International meetings of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.

We made a timid entry into the tradeshow of more than 5,000 attendees—which included doctors and staff. Our creative booth, with its simple cardboard palm trees, tissue paper grass, and hanging monkeys created by my daughter-in-law, Jennifer was so fun! It didn’t win best decorated, but it won the hearts of the crowd.

The other 500 vendor booths were stunned that our new toothbrush was singled out, time and again, as the most innovative product of the conference. My staff (JJ, Jennifer & Natalee) and I had one-on-one conversations with hundreds of prospective buyers. (We are nearly sold out of current stock but have 6,000 more on the way.) Three pediatric hospitals, numerous offices and clinics, and other vendors and distributors are interested in our toothbrush. Two trade journals interviewed us for articles and others voted us “busiest booth.”

In Japan , the week of June 16th, I will meet and negotiate with several Japanese pharmaceutical distributing companies who hope to carry our toothbrush in their stores. I’ll also meet with the Japanese Dental Hygiene Association, and am slated to be interviewed by several magazines.

We’re finding this busy new banana life very “A-peel-ing!”

Hi Kids,

Just an update…
I’m still working on fulfilling orders from the convention, but I’ve gotten 6 more orders by phone in the last two days, totaling 200 additional brushes besides those we took orders for at our booth. This is crazy! Even a doctor from Austria wants some! The doctors themselves have called me and said, “I tried it on my kids and they LOVE them. We need more ASAP.” I think we have a winner here.

Thank you again for your above-and-beyond service. I wish I still had you all!! I’m dying! (but a good? kind of dying)

The people from Orem (the infant pacifier and Zylitol tooth gel people) are meeting with me next week and will have me present their product(s) in Japan . We’ll get some royalty off that if they bite. I’m going to Japan on June 16 and have made my reservations. We’re meeting with several big companies and I hope to come back with a big order or promise of an order.
