Baby Banana Brush

I realized that most of the people who read this blog don't really go on Facebook or Twitter that often. I've posted lots of pictures of cute babies using the Baby Banana Brush on those sites, but I thought I should put some on here too! You might recognize some of these famous babies!
(The Baby Banana Brush is a flexible, safe, durable, medical-grade silicone toothbrush intended for infants and toddlers, and its available for purchase on Amazon.com)

Baby Nolan's First Photo Shoot

These pictures were taken in the hospital when Baby Nolan was only a few hours old!
Things we already know about Nolan....
He is very alert, and when he is awake (usuallly at night), he likes to look around at everything. JJ says Nolan is on Chinese time, because he sleeps during the day and is awake at night. I think he's just trying to fit in with his furry kitty siblings.
We know he loves his blankie and he loves to snuggle!
He's picked up a few gang signs....

He has already discovered "the X dimension"...

And he is going to be SO loved by his Mommy and Daddy!
These pictures are so sweet! We love him already!

Dad's Travels

Dad sent us some pictures of his adventures in Rio (Brazil) and Durban (South Africa)!
This is the desk Dad works at. The lady in the picture is Charmaine, who Dad works with everyday. They share this office, and sometimes Dad has to borrow her computer when his doesn't work. The struggling technology is one of the things that has been difficult for Dad during his stay in South Africa. He also says that they have a "National Holiday" about every other week, and no one goes to work on these special days. He is surprised that anything is getting done. He says his office and living situation are "adequate", but he says people do not go out at night in the area between his hotel and the school he's working at. He says he enjoys working with the students, and he feels that this trip was necessary for him to really be able to understand the situation at this school. He hopes to be able to assist (long-distance) in the future. Everytime we skype with him, he counts down the days. Today marked 30 days until he returns to Idaho. Mom and I, and all the animals will be glad to have him home safe!
Dad went to a horse jumping show with his students, who were there just in case one of the riders got injured. Dad and I saw Secretariat, and then he got really into reading Seabiscuit and learning about horse culture before he left so this was probably fun for him to see.
Dad has also been able to do interesting stuff like going to a rugby game and eating different foods, as well as serious things like going to the local public hospital. He said it was in very bad condition and there were people there with tuberculosis, AIDS, and other illnesses.

Dad has had a chance to be "Papa Tutu" while he's been in South Africa as well. This little girl is named Jade.
She is Dr. Wilson's daughter. Dad has been marketing the toothbrushes for us in South Africa too, and we may have a potential distributor down there now! Way to go Dad!
Conversations with Lincoln
Eden: Aunt Natalee has to go back to her apartment now. Say bye-bye!
Nat: Do you know who lives at Aunt Natalee's house? (Expecting Lincoln to say Freckles)
Lincoln:.....hmmm.....Papa Tutu??

Before going to South Africa, Dad spent a few days in Brazil, and saw one of the most famous statues in South America.

Then, he got to spend time with one of the most famous Argentinians!

Happy Birthday Barratt and Marci !!!

Barratt and Marci both have birthdays this month! Barratt's is today and Marci's is on the 31st. Mom still thinks its strange to have a son who is old enough to be in his forties. "I feel like I was forty not that long ago", she says.
Even though Barratt is the oldest in our family, he is still one of the youngest at heart. He loves to have a good laugh, and he's still very physically active too. He loves doing intense things like mountain biking, running marathons, backpacking, mountain climbing (he climbed up the icy face of Mt. Moran), camping, and he even went scuba diving in a dormant volcano with his kids last year! Barratt loves sharing his passions and hobbies with his family. He's taught them to be interested in sports, rocks, and even bunny rabbits! Barratt is a good Dad, he loves to spend lots of time with them, and he even let them get a dog this year! (Lilly-Bear)
Marci is also very young at heart, and she loves a good laugh too. She has one of those contagious laughs that starts small and before you know it, your stomach is aching and your eyes are welling up because with Marci, you just can't stop laughing. Marci always has something funny to say, and her sense of humor keeps things light even during stressful times. Marci always has a positive attitude, and she brightens up the day of any person she talks to. She is a very loving person, and she is also a great Mom to her three kids.
I remember living with Marci, Barratt and Sierra when I was 12, and it was fun to have them around because we would watch Seinfeld and Melrose Place together. I remember Barratt proposed to Marci in the bedroom that Nancee and I shared at the time. They were visiting us for the weekend from college (I was 6 or 7) and she was staying on my trundle bed. He brought her breakfast in bed, and he had hidden the ring in her cereal, I think. She was very excited and surprised, and so were we! The excitement of a wedding quickly followed, and I've had a sister ever since!
Here's a little 'blast from the past' that Nancee found. This is a performance we put on for Barratt's homecoming from his mission. We loved you then, Bear and we still love you! Hope you and Marci have wonderful birthdays! (And no, I will not be performing 'Jamaica Banana' this year).
