Happy Birthday Barratt and Marci !!!

Barratt and Marci both have birthdays this month! Barratt's is today and Marci's is on the 31st. Mom still thinks its strange to have a son who is old enough to be in his forties. "I feel like I was forty not that long ago", she says.
Even though Barratt is the oldest in our family, he is still one of the youngest at heart. He loves to have a good laugh, and he's still very physically active too. He loves doing intense things like mountain biking, running marathons, backpacking, mountain climbing (he climbed up the icy face of Mt. Moran), camping, and he even went scuba diving in a dormant volcano with his kids last year! Barratt loves sharing his passions and hobbies with his family. He's taught them to be interested in sports, rocks, and even bunny rabbits! Barratt is a good Dad, he loves to spend lots of time with them, and he even let them get a dog this year! (Lilly-Bear)
Marci is also very young at heart, and she loves a good laugh too. She has one of those contagious laughs that starts small and before you know it, your stomach is aching and your eyes are welling up because with Marci, you just can't stop laughing. Marci always has something funny to say, and her sense of humor keeps things light even during stressful times. Marci always has a positive attitude, and she brightens up the day of any person she talks to. She is a very loving person, and she is also a great Mom to her three kids.
I remember living with Marci, Barratt and Sierra when I was 12, and it was fun to have them around because we would watch Seinfeld and Melrose Place together. I remember Barratt proposed to Marci in the bedroom that Nancee and I shared at the time. They were visiting us for the weekend from college (I was 6 or 7) and she was staying on my trundle bed. He brought her breakfast in bed, and he had hidden the ring in her cereal, I think. She was very excited and surprised, and so were we! The excitement of a wedding quickly followed, and I've had a sister ever since!
Here's a little 'blast from the past' that Nancee found. This is a performance we put on for Barratt's homecoming from his mission. We loved you then, Bear and we still love you! Hope you and Marci have wonderful birthdays! (And no, I will not be performing 'Jamaica Banana' this year).
