Christmas 2011 (Part I)

The 14-foot Christmas Tree in the main living room.  It looked so pretty at night!
(We've decided to leave it up year-round because we like it so much)
We had a wonderful Christmas holiday! This post will be the first in a series of posts about all the family time we've enjoyed over the past two weeks. Thank you to everyone who made the effort to come and visit us, who called and skyped, and who sent thoughtful presents too. We love you all!

It all started with J.J. and Jennifer's arrival a few days before Christmas. We made the requisite stop at In-N-Out, and then Baby Nolan got to hang out with Grandma and Grandpa Tutu, who were all dressed up in Christmas Elf hats, anxiously awaiting his arrival.

J.J., Jennifer and I went to see "A Christmas Carol" at the local dinner theater on the 23rd. It was nice to get dressed up and watch a play and hang out.

On Christmas Eve, Nolan was got to open his very first Christmas present! He was very excited to participate in the new-jammies Christmas Eve tradition.

After Mom, Dad and Nolan went to bed, J.J., Jennifer and I worked on arranging the Christmas presents into individual piles so that it looked like this on Christmas morning:

This is Nolan's Christmas Day outfit, he looked super cute in that hood.
On Christmas morning, we got up early (even Nat!) and had german pancakes while we opened presents. Christmas lasted all day long, because we were celebrating with a 7 month old who had to stick to his napping and food schedule, which resulted in many hour long breaks. It was pretty great.
Mom and Dad liked their blog book.
and their afghan of Lincoln & Logan.
Mom got this "Man Cave" sign for Dad

"Everyone's gonna be wearing one of these this year?"
"Everyone's gonna be wearing one of these this year?"
More Christmas-related posts to come shortly!

It was a great Christmas with so many rug rats, teenagers and in-betweeners that I wished it would just keep going.

What a gorgeous tree and a very sweet little Nolan. Love seeing him growing and smiling and so darling in his Christmas outfit. The tree is lovely and J.J. and Jen look great too. So happy to hear your Christmas was wonderful together.

This is pure snow! Do you have any idea what the street value of this mountain is?
